Overview: Sometimes she can be overwhelming with her passions and can appear pretty intense, especially after a vision or a vivid dream. She has times where she can be extremely pessimistic, as well as keeping her secrets. Cynical dogs or at least openly selfish dogs worry her fiercely and she tries to steer clear of them. She has often been broken and judged for her point of view. While her god has always been violent and blood-thirsty, she was always the voice of peace among her religion. However, things are different now... When she was raped, something changed in her state of mind. She threw away her faith in other dogs. Every dog is only out to help themselves, and she is now sure that is the only way any dog is... She has decided to be the same way. She is still very passionate but now she often avoids other dogs for favor of the ones she knows rather than strangers. Any rank beneath her will be ignored for a higher rank instead.

= Background Information =  

Zaria’s puphood was pleasant enough. Her religious parents taught her and guided her and her siblings to the ways of Zonje. Her father was known to not be quite all there, but he was a magnificent teacher, and knew how to be there for his babies. Her mother was the best mother you could find out in the god forsaken desert. She was brilliant and knew how to discipline her brood. As Zaria got older, her parents encouraged her to leave their homeland and spread the word of Zonje to other dogs who might need guidance. Zaria did so, ensuring her parents would be proud of her. She planned on returning to her homeland, but after a long enough time, she found herself lost.

For days on end, she found no civilizations, no other dogs... She was forced to stay close to a den she found, not being able to go too far from it… She used the abandoned foxhole as cover. No dastardly monsters that went bump in the night would have a chance at having her for a midnight snack. Zaria held many revelations from her time among the dunes, all alone. Zonje had always offered her small blessings in the ways of a morsel of food, or a puddle of water. This may have strengthened her relationship with the sun, but after a few weeks, the gifts stopped. No food, no water. This drove her from her hiding place, and she continued forward to find any place that would take her… She never stopped moving, in case a predator came along. By pure luck, she never ran into any devils in the dark.

However, one hot morning, it became far too much. She was delirious, maybe even dying from starvation, or thirst, or the heat. She appeared outside of the Ascended ‘camp.’ As soon as she saw the first dog, she wouldn’t stop blabbering about Zonje, about her visions that she endeavored on her journey, about his blessings to her. The dogs sent her to the shamans. She guzzled down bowl after bowl of water, and they talked for three days and three nights. It was then that they named her one of their own. The rank ‘Oracle’ graced her, a rank that had never been given before.

They accepted her, and she never left the High Priestess’s side. When it was time for Solas to go to Zonje’s side, she proved herself with the ceremony… First, she predicted the outcome of a hunt. It wasn't difficult necessarily, but all the while waiting for the hunting group to come home, Zaria was racked with absolute terror at the thought of failing. However, success came to her, her prediction of a failed hunt was correct. The next step was easily much harder than the first. Solas came to her and told her to come to the Podium at dawn, where ceremonies take place.

Be warned, the ceremony is brutal. Read at your own risk.

Zaria met her there, only to be greeted by the whole pack as an audience. Solas repented for her sins, and then asked to be sacrificed. Through the power of Zonje, Solas would be resurrected inside of Zaria.  With the use of no tools, Zaria had skinned the High Priestess alive. There was no struggle from Solas, but Zaria had to pause several times. However, asking Zonje quietly beneath her breath to give her strength, she proved that she was no stranger to the sacrifices that she had to give to Zonje. It was a hard thing to do for such a young dog, especially one who was not good with violence, let alone blood.

That was not the final step. Solas, fully skinned, however still alive, needed to be killed. Zaria snapped her neck. As the blood pooled beneath the corpse that laid at her paws, her fellow shamans informed her that she needed to drink the blood, recite the prayer of Zonje, and once the corpse of Solas was finally set ablaze, Zaria was fully accepted into her new title.

Zaria has frequent nightmares of the Ceremony that she performed, and it took her a long time to finally move away from the guilt she felt. With the help of Zonje's guidance, she pushed through the dread that clouded her. She knew that she did what she had to do for the sake of her god. Solas's pelt would be worn with pride and respect, and she should not feel bad for what her High Priestess had asked of her.

When Zaria was made Priestess, things changed. She was in charge, she was the Oracle, she spoke for their god. Zonje gave her dreams, spoke to her, held her in his grasp with a love that she would never be able to have with any physical body. However, she was mortal, and she fell in love despite she her attempts not to. First, with her leader. She was very affectionate with Ilsa, and often sought alone time with her. Then she met Vaudeville, and fell in love with him as well.

Zaria would be allowed to live. Zaria left the Ascended, but no one else could know that. Now she lives among the desert dunes, and she cannot go back to the Following she once knew. She would be changing now, and there would be no returning...
